Hyderabadi Chicken Handi Recipe

Ingredients:
500g chicken, cut into pieces
2 large onions, finely sliced
2 tomatoes, chopped
1/4 cup yogurt
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 cup fresh cream
1/4 cup oil or ghee
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped for garnishing
Instructions:
Heat oil or ghee in a handi or deep pan. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
Add tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and oil starts separating.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
Add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn white on the outside.
Add yogurt and mix. Cover and cook on low heat until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
Add garam masala and fresh cream. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve the delicious Hyderabadi Chicken Handi with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
