Chicken Manchurian Recipe
Here's a simple Chicken Manchurian recipe:
Ingredients:
500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornflour
1 egg
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon chili sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional, for extra heat)
Salt to taste
2-3 tablespoons cooking oil
2-3 spring onions, chopped (for garnish)
2-3 green chilies, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, marinate the chicken with ginger-garlic paste, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon cornflour, and a pinch of salt. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
In a separate bowl, prepare the batter by mixing all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons cornflour, egg, a pinch of salt, and enough water to make a smooth paste.
Dip the marinated chicken pieces into the batter, coating them evenly.
Heat oil in a pan or wok over medium-high heat. Fry the coated chicken pieces until they turn golden and crispy. Remove and drain excess oil on paper towels.
In another pan, heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil and stir-fry the chopped spring onions and green chilies for a minute.
Mix together the remaining soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, vinegar, sugar, black pepper powder, and red chili flakes (if using). Add this mixture to the pan and let it simmer for a minute.
Toss in the fried chicken pieces and stir well, coating them with the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Garnish with chopped spring onions and green chilies.
Enjoy your delicious Chicken Manchurian! 🍗🍛
