Chicken Macaroni Recipe
Here's a delicious chicken macaroni recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups macaroni
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
Add the diced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
Add the mixed vegetables and sauté for a few more minutes until they are tender.
Sprinkle the flour over the chicken and vegetables, and stir well to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw taste of the flour.
Gradually pour in the milk while stirring constantly. Continue to cook and stir until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and incorporated into the sauce.
Season the sauce with salt, pepper, dried oregano, and paprika. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Add the cooked macaroni to the skillet and gently mix everything together until the macaroni is coated with the cheesy sauce.
Cook for a few more minutes until everything is heated through.
