Cream Cake Recipe



Here's  a classic cream cake recipe that you can try at home:


Ingredients:


For the cake:


2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs, at room temperature

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup whole milk, at room temperature


For the cream filling:

2 cups heavy cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract


For the frosting:

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional: Fresh berries for garnish


Instructions:


Preheat your oven . Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined; avoid overmixing.

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Smooth the tops with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.

Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.


For the cream filling, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a chilled bowl until stiff peaks form.


For the frosting, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in another chilled bowl until stiff peaks form.


Once the cakes have cooled completely, spread the cream filling evenly over the top of one cake layer.

Place the second cake layer on top of the filling.

Frost the top and sides of the cake with the whipped cream frosting.

If desired, decorate the cake with fresh berries or other toppings of your choice.

Refrigerate the cream cake for at least 1-2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the frosting to set.
