Zinger Chicken Shawarma Recipe



Here's a zinger chicken shawarma recipe for you:


Ingredients:


1 boneless chicken breast piece,thinly sliced

2 tablespoons plain yogurt

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

4 pita bread or flatbreads

Chopped lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers for serving

Tahini sauce or garlic sauce for drizzling

Instructions:


In a bowl, mix together yogurt, mayonnaise, vegetable oil, paprika, cayenne pepper, cumin, coriander, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.

Add the sliced chicken to the marinade and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for better flavor).

Preheat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken until fully cooked and slightly charred, about 4-5 minutes per side.

Warm the pita bread or flatbreads in a dry skillet or microwave.

To assemble, place a layer of chopped lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers on the warmed pita bread. Top with the cooked chicken.

Drizzle with tahini sauce or garlic sauce.

Roll up the pita bread tightly to form a shawarma wrap.
