Keema Matar Aloo Recipe
Here's a delicious Keema Matar Aloo recipe:
Ingredients
500g minced meat (keema)
1 cup frozen green peas (matar)
2 medium-sized potatoes, diced
1 large onion, finely chopped
4 tomatoes, pureed
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1-inch piece of ginger, grated
4 green chilies, chopped (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder (adjust to your spice level)
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 cup fresh cilantro (coriander leaves), chopped
Oil for Cooking
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Continue to sauté for another minute.
Stir in the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.
Add the minced meat (keema) and cook until it is browned and well cooked, breaking any lumps with a spatula.
Now, add the diced potatoes and green peas. Mix everything together.
Cover the pan and let it simmer on low heat until the potatoes are cooked and tender (about 15-20 minutes).
Sprinkle garam masala and chopped cilantro on top before serving.
