Finger Fish Recipe



Here's a delicious recipe for finger fish:


Ingredients:


500g  fish fillets (small fish) cut into finger sized pieces

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

Salt to taste

1 cup gram flour (besan)

Oil for frying

Instructions:


Clean the finger fish. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.


In a bowl, mix lemon juice, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to create a marinade. Coat the fish with this mixture and let it marinate for about 30 minutes.

In a separate bowl, prepare the gram flour by adding a pinch of salt and enough water to create a smooth batter. The batter should be thick enough to coat the fish but not too runny.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan or wok over medium heat. The oil should be hot enough for frying.

Dip each marinated fish into the gram flour batter, making sure it's well-coated, and then gently place it into the hot oil.

Fry the fish in batches, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides. This should take about 5-6 minutes per batch.

Once fried, use a slotted spoon to remove the fish from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Serve the delicious finger fish hot with your favorite chutney or dipping sauce. Enjoy as an appetizer or side dish!
