Aloo Gobi Recipe
Here's a recipe of chatpati aloo gobi:
Ingredients:
2 cups cauliflower florets
2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 onion, finely chopped
3 tomato, chopped
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnishing)
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Oil for cooking
Instructions:
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add ginger and garlic paste. Sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften and turn mushy.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.
Add diced potatoes and cauliflower florets. Mix them with the masala.
Sprinkle some salt and cover the pan. Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender.
Once the vegetables are cooked, sprinkle garam masala and give it a final mix.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
