Aloo Bukhara Chutney Recipe
Here's a simple recipe for Aloo Bukhara (Plum) chutney:
Ingredients:
1 cup Aloo Bukhara (dried plums)
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
Pinch of salt
Pinch of black salt.
Instructions:
Wash the Aloo Bukhara (dried plums) thoroughly and soak them in water for about 3-4 hours or until they soften.
After soaking, discard the water and remove the pits from the Aloo Bukhara.
In a saucepan, add the deseeded Aloo Bukhara, sugar, and water. Cook on medium heat until the plums become soft and the mixture thickens. Add red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, salt, and black salt (if using). Mix well and cook for another few minutes.
Remove from heat and let the chutney cool down.
Once cooled
Pour the chutney into a clean, airtight jar and store it in the refrigerator. It will last for several weeks.
